MCG Increases Scope of Services for Temenos, Anguilla

After servicing the client for the past nine months with scheduling, MCG has been asked to increases our services to help out the development team for the Temenos, Anguilla project. Now fully engaged as an extension of the client’s development team, it is MCG’s goal to review what has been completed up to this stage and then manage the development to a schedule from this point onwards. MCG’ current responsibilities include: scheduling, Cash Flows, Financial Analysis, Audits, Frequent On-Site Evaluations, Inspections, and Team Management. The Hotel and Residences at Temenos, Anguilla will include a 114-key ultra-luxury hotel and an 18,800-square-foot world-class spa and a fitness center. Within the hotel there will be 50 oceanfront residences. The 286-acre resort also includes 18 estate homes, 10 villas, 38 Spa Villas along with a Greg Norman-designed championship golf course -- Anguilla's first and only course.
MCG participates in the IOA corporate 5K event

MCG’s teamwork expands on the track at the Citrus Bowl in Orlando. Several MCG team members joined over 10 thousand runners for this year’s IOA corporate 5K race. Even our fearless leader, Iain McGillivray, joined in to promote the healthy lifestyle of his company. However, he was no match to our expert runner, and Quantity Surveyor extraordinaire, Heather King who took 3rd place in the women’s division with a time of 19:06!, another trophy to add to her growing collection. Congratulations to all that participated in this event.
MCG Lectures at Cornell University, NY

Marcus Calvani our VP of Hospitality was invited back to his alma mater, to lecture to a class of 300 students at Cornell University’s Alice Statler Auditorium in the School of Hotel Administration. The students of the Hospitality Development and Planning class were introduced to the rolls of Project Management, Client Representation, Design Management, Cost Estimating and Scheduling in the Hospitality, Attraction and Themed Entertainment Industries.

& Director of Creative Design Deborah Sassak

Vice President of Construction Cliff Dobson is a graduate of Texas A&M University with an advanced degree in Construction Management. He has almost 30 years of commercial construction experience, initially spending 10 years in general contracting, and later with hospitality and resort developers, including Marriott Corporation, Walt Disney Imagineering, Marriott Vacation Club International, and boutique hotel builders and developers. As an experienced professional, he has expertise in all aspects of design, construction and project management. The majority of Cliff’s career has been spent as an on-site, hands-on construction manager.
Director of Creative Design- Deborah Sassak Deborah has worked in themed environments and specialty construction for the past 17 years. She has led and directed many projects for Universal Studios, Sea World, Nickelodeon, Dollywood, Ripley’s Believe It or Not, America’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, as well as numerous television and film projects. Deborah’s positions have included: Art Director, Production Manager, and Scenic Fabrication Consultant. Deborah brings her experience in themed construction and scenic techniques to our projects where she will be interfacing with project designers, architects, and interior and landscape designers to insure the aesthetic expectations are meant in fabrication, design, materials, installation and final details.

MCG Welcomes Michael Lingerfelt to the team as Vice President of Architecture & Design

Michael is a registered architect with a national council certificate, he is also LEED credited. Michael has been practicing architecture for 27 years, spending five years with Marriott International, and 15 as the Director of Project Architecture & Engineering for the Walt Disney Imaginers, where he signed and sealed all the architectural documents for Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and design Mission Space, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, and Expedition Everest, three of the top rides at Walt Disney World. Michael’s experience offers great insight into layouts, function, adherence to codes, environmental design, and general guest experience.
