BEARFIRE RESORT

MCG was approached by landowners in the Dallas / Fort Worth, Texas area and asked if it was possible to build a ski and entertainment destination of their land. MCG had the Master Plan prepared along with an economic feasibility study to determine exactly what type of project would fit the property and be most profitable.

Bearfire Resort currently includes a 34 acre footprint, 300 feet high, steel and concrete mountain with 16 acres of skiing area. Also includes a mid mountain lodge, attractions, entertainment, real snow play area, ice skating, European retail village, multiple food and beverage facilities, 600 room four star hotel, luxury spa, 40,000 sq feet convention facilty, and vacation ownership.

Scope of Services

MCG was employed as the client’s representative for the project and also as the project, cost, design and construction manager. Carrying out all development responsibilities for the client on a daily basis, the Bearfire team at MCG consists of project managers, quantity surveyors, cost consultants, construction experts, and hospitality development professionals.

The land owner has asked the MCG team to further master plan the remainder of the 500 acre site for future phases of this development.
